Eos Airlines Adds CareCounsel's Healthcare Advocacy Benefit to Its Innovative Consumer-Driven Health Plan

San Rafael, CA, December 18, 2006 — CareCounsel, LLC announces today its contract with Eos Airlines to provide healthcare advocacy services to their employees. CareCounsel, the pioneer in employer-sponsored health benefits advocacy, will support Eos employees, as they navigate their innovative high-deductible health plans and health savings accounts.

According to Pam Armstrong, Vice President of Benefits Administration at Eos and author of the award-winning book, Surviving Healthcare, "Consumers need expert advice in dealing with a complex healthcare system. CareCounsel will be a tremendous resource to Eos employees in getting the best quality healthcare at competitive prices, and sorting through healthcare issues."

"Eos Airlines sets a national example for doing all the right things with a consumer-driven health plan. The Company provides significant funding for employees' health savings accounts, and funding levels increase as employees engage in healthy behaviors like participating in a comprehensive health risk appraisal and engaging in individual health coaching to reduce their risk factors," commented CareCounsel CEO, Lawrence N. Gelb. "It goes without saying that employees and their families need lots of support to make a smooth transition from traditional health plan models to new consumer-driven health plans. This is where CareCounsel's health advocacy service can really make a difference."

CareCounsel pioneered employer-sponsored health advocacy programs in 1997. Forward looking employers like the City and County of Santa Barbara, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, Southern Air and Tetra Pak all offer CareCounsel's advocacy service in conjunction with their HSA/high deductible health plans.
